Have done 7 loads in the machine ( had a backlog of laundry waiting ). Machine capacity great for the size of the unit. Clothes are clean and lint free ( has an inline lint filter - great idea). I've used it only a week at this point, but the Avanti 21" portable washer is everything it's cracked up to be: it cleans items very well, it has a good spin cycle that does an amazing job of extracting water; the filtration system is quite adequate, and, it's very quiet. The washer holds an amazing number of items for its size (always good to follow the manufacturer's suggested loading). It's a nifty little work horse for sure, and appears to be quite well made. My only negative comment is that when washing shirts it tends to knot up the sleeves, otherwise, I've nothing but praise. It also carries a fair and reasonable price tag. Typical trips to the laundromat require a commitment of up to 4 hours, where you fight for machines, stand by waiting for dryers, try to drown out the sound of screaming children and blaring radios, while praying that the person who used the machine before you practice good hygeine. As bad as all of that is, add to it the thread of someone stealing your clothes when your back is turned, folding even your most private of delicates in public view and worst of all - the looming threat of bed bugs.
