For the last year, I've begun to steel myself for the likelihood that it might give out any day now. It is a Whirlpool Washer model LXR9245EQ1 with "extra large capacity" and has worked so well for me that a new one will have some pretty big shoes to fill. Neither the original manual nor the washer itself specify what "extra large capacity" equates to in cubic feet, but a quick call to Whirlpool's customer service line answered that question for me - 3.0 cu.
